FALL 2000 SEASON LEAGUE RULES
All games will be played under the rules of USA Hockey InLine
SANCTION: This adult league is sanctioned by USA Hockey InLine under the organization Flagler County InLine Hockey, Inc., FLI0035. As thus, all games will be played under the playing rules of USA Hockey InLine. The following amendments apply.
START TIME: All teams must be ready to start at the scheduled game time
WARM-UP: There will be a 3 minute warm-up period before each game, and a 1 minute intermission between each half.
GAME LENGTH: 2 Halves, 20 minutes in length
RULE CHANGE: PLAYOFF GAMES will be 2 periods of 13 minutes, STOP TIME.
RUN/STOP TIME: Running Time until last 2 minutes within 2 goals
OFFSIDES: (both divisions) An attacking player is not permitted to pass the puck from the defending side of center directly to a teammate in the attacking zone, who preceded the puck into the attacking zone. This will result in a whistle and a face-off at the nearest special face-off spot in the offending team's zone.
PENALTIES: All minor penalties will be 2 minutes in length
  All major penalties will be 5 minutes in length
LINE CHANGES: A team is NOT permitted to change players during a stoppage of play if it is below the numerical strength of it's opponent.
TIMEOUTS: Each team is permitted 1 timeout per game, 30 seconds in length
REGULAR SEASON OVERTIME: if the game ends in a tie in regulation during the regular season, each team receives 1 point. Then, 1 overtime period of 5 minutes will be played 3 on 3. If a winner is determined, the winner receives 1 additional point. If still tied, game ends as a tie.
PLAYOFFS OVERTIME: During playoffs, infinite overtime periods of 15 minutes will be played if the game ends in a tie in regulation, until a winner is determined.
FIGHTING: Fighting will NOT be tolerated. A first offense for fighting will result in immediate game ejection and suspension for an additional 3 games***. A second offense will result in expulsion from the league for the remainder of the season and a hearing will be held to determine the offender's future in FCIHI.
JERSEYS: Teams are responsible for their own jerseys, if both teams have the same colours, it is the responsibility of the home team to change jerseys.
GOALIES: If a team's goaltender is unable to play a game, the phone numbers of all goaltenders will be made available to all team captains and it is the responsibility of the team to secure another goaltender for the game. (NOTE: During playoff games, a team may only use players and goalkeepers from its own roster)
SCHEDULE: The game schedule is subject to change. Written notice will be given, when possible, a minimum of 1 week in advance.
GAME NIGHTS: All games will be played on Sundays, and Wednesday evenings.
LEAGUE FEES: All players' fees are due no later than November 15, 2000.
PLAYOFF ELIGIBILITY All players must play a minimum of 6 regular season games in order to be eligible for post-season play, unless approved by the board of captains.
ROSTERS: All rosters will be frozen as of Monday, October 23, 2000. All rosters and roster additions must be approved by the league administrator. FCIHI reserves the right to extend this deadline if they choose to do so, if approved by board of captains.
