2004 ADULT LEAGUE RULES
items under this heading will be and MUST be STRICTLY ADHERED to.
|ALL games MUST start on time.
If both teams are NOT ready to start, the game clock will begin, and
will continue to run until the teams are ready to play. No time will be added back under any
of all your trash (tape, broken sticks, bottles) in the garbage cans.
|Any team who uses a goaltender from another team more than three
times during the season, will have 1/2 point deducted from their season point
total for each such instance above and beyond 3 games.**
|All games will
be played under the rules of USA Hockey InLine
||This adult league is
sanctioned by USA Hockey InLine under the organization Flagler County InLine
Hockey, Inc., FLI0035. As thus, all
games will be played under the playing rules of USA Hockey InLine. The following amendments apply.
||All teams must be ready to start at the scheduled game
||There will be a 3 minute warm-up period
before each game, and a 1 minute intermission between each half.
||Regular Season: 2 Halves, 20 minutes in length Playoffs: 2 Halves, 15 Minutes in Length, Stop
Championship: 3 Periods, 15 Minutes in Length, Stop Time
||Running Time until last 2 minutes within 2 goals (except Playoffs & Championship)
|OFFSIDES: (both divisions)
||An attacking player is not
permitted to pass the puck from the defending side of center directly to a
teammate in the attacking zone, who preceded the puck into the attacking
zone. This will result in a whistle
and a face-off at the nearest special face-off spot in the offending team's
||All minor penalties will be 2 minutes in length
||All major penalties will be 5 minutes in length
||A team is NOT permitted to
change players during a stoppage of play if it is below the numerical
strength of it's opponent. Once the
player on the floor starts toward his/her bench, the infraction has been
committed. This minor penalty is
assessed only if brought to the attention of the official by the
||Each team is permitted 1 timeout per game, 30 seconds in length
||if the game ends in a tie
in regulation during the regular season, each team receives 1 point. Then, 1 overtime period of 5 minutes will be played 3 on 3. If a winner is determined,
the winner receives 1 additional point.
If still tied, game ends as a tie.
||During playoffs, infinite
overtime periods of 15
minutes will be played if the game ends in a tie in regulation, until a
winner is determined.
||Fighting will NOT be
tolerated. A first offense for
fighting will result in immediate game ejection and suspension for an
additional 2 games***. A second offense will result in expulsion from the
league for the remainder of the season and a hearing will be held to
determine the offender's future in FCIHI.
Any suspension incurred in the FCIHI is in effect for ALL FCIHI
activities until the suspension is served completely in the league in which
it was incurred.
||Teams are responsible for
their own jerseys, MATCHING IN COLOUR, AND WITH NUMBERS. If both teams have the same colours, it is
the responsibility of the away team to change jerseys.
||If a team's goaltender is
unable to play a game, the phone numbers of all goaltenders will be made
available to all team captains and it is the responsibility of the team to
secure another goaltender for the game.
(NOTE: During playoff games, a team may only use players and
goalkeepers from its own roster)
||The game schedule is
subject to change. Written notice will be given, when possible, a minimum of 1 week in advance.
||ALL Misconducts will be
subject to review and possible suspension by F.C.I.H.I.
||All players' fees are due
no later than Thursday, November 18, 2004.
||At the end of the regular
season, if two or more teams are tied, (1) head to head W/L record, (2) Total
Wins, (3) Total Goals Against, (4) Total Goals For, (5) tie-breaker game.
||All players must play a
minimum of 6 regular
season games in order to be eligible for post-season play, unless approved by
the board of captains.
||All rosters will be frozen
as of Friday, October 29, 2004. All rosters are
limited to a maximum of 12 players (including goalies). All rosters and
roster additions must be approved by the league administrator. FCIHI reserves the right to extend this
deadline if they choose to do so, if approved by board of captains.
||FCIHI reserves the right to waive this rule under
circumstances which it deems neces
||FCIHI reserves the right to
extend this suspension if it deems it necessary.
